The objective
Invicta Financial Group is a financial advisor firm based in Christchurch and Auckland. They are dedicated to empowering families and businesses with comprehensive wealth strategies. They came to us with a need and a want to bring a new perspective on how they represented themselves digitally.
Their existing website was not aligning with what they wanted to achieve, and no longer reflected the professional caliber of their services. As the company grew, they felt the site should also grow to a more modern, sleek aesthetic look that was both accomodating to families and business professionals. This meant highlighting their expertise in areas like Personal Insurance, Kiwisaver, General Insurance, and Wealth.
With no prior relationship with a web development partner, Invicta sought to overhaul their online footprint to attract and engage potential clients. Invicta was reffered to What IF Web via one of their managers.
They aimed to modernise their digital platform to drive more inquiries and ultimately foster sustainable growth through enhanced lead generation.
The solution
We kicked off with our strategy and discovery process, user personas, competitor analysis, current-site audit, sitemap planning, content requirements, and lo-fi wireframes. From there, we moved quickly into design and development.
Design direction
From the very first design, the goal was to feel like a warm kiwi family, while still looking like a serious financial partner.
- Colour palette - Keeping it nice and simple with navy blue and a variation of different white shades.
- Photography - Lifestyle shots of real Kiwi families, on beaches, walking. Warm, and relatable.
- Typography - We used fonts that showed Invicta's identity.
- Trust signals - Company badges, and client testimonials to show trust.
These designs produce a space that instantly feels like home to Kiwi families, but still feels professional.
Development & functionality
- Full custom Webflow build
- GSAP smooth scrolling and load in animations for a premium feel
- Custom button hovers and micro-interactions on all CTAs
- Robust, intuitive CMS so the Invicta team can easily add or edit services, team members, sub-services, testimonials, blog posts, and legal pages without the need for a developer every time
- Responsive design, so it will work well across all devices.
The entire project was delivered in an efficient 8-week sprint.
Isaac and the team were awesome to work with. Communication was great, they were patient the whole way through, listened to what we wanted, and were super flexible with any changes. They also gave us the tools to manage the site ourselves going forward. End result is a clean, sharp website that ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend.
The result
The new website went live on Webflow and has been running beautifully ever since.

- The site is fast and works perfectly on phones, tablets, or big screens.
- The Invicta team can update anything themselves in a couple of clicks; add a new team member, post a blog, change a phone number, upload a new testimonial, all without calling us or paying extra.
- No more worrying about plugins breaking, security updates, or hosting bills. Webflow takes care of it all in the background.
Bottom line: Invicta has a website they’re proud to send people to. It feels like them, it’s easy for visitors to use, and it’s completely under their control as the business keeps growing.
