The Challenge
ThroughLine powers crisis navigation at a global scale, offering products trusted by some of the world's most influential technology platforms. As their business grew and their reputation expanded, their website struggled to keep pace. It no longer reflected who they were, and it needed to. The brief was to refresh their marketing website to better communicate their value proposition to customers, partners, and candidates: something that conveyed the urgency of the problem they're solving, the credibility of the infrastructure behind it, and the momentum of a company operating at the frontier of a space that hadn't existed a few years prior. The challenge was striking the right balance. The site needed enough energy to capture attention and convey momentum, while remaining measured and considered — because anyone, at any time, could be encountering their platform.
What We Did
- Conducted rapid, experimental research to inform the design and communication approach, consulting on wireframes and content Throughline had prepared prior to engaging with us.
- Refined Throughline's existing brand identity to feel more tech-forward and enterprise-ready, while preserving the soft, green, and considered visual qualities that reflect the nature of their work.
- Completed full page-by-page website design, mapping layout, structure, and copy placement across the entire site.
- Designed and built custom Lottie animations to visually explain how Throughline's platform works, illustrating backend processes, live application scenarios, and the nuanced actions the product performs on behalf of its clients.
- Created animated illustrations to convey Throughline's global reach, showing how the platform connects people across the world to the right support resource.
- Developed the full site in Webflow, bringing the designs to life with a polished, performant build.
- Built an advanced relational CMS for managing content such as lead magnets, testimonials, client logos, solutions, legal content, open roles, and cards.
- Implemented GSAP animations throughout the site, including a custom statistics-driven dots animation and scroll-based storytelling sequences.
- Built a library of reusable components across the site, including buttons, sections, CTAs, and cards, ensuring consistency and ease of future updates.
- Produced a suite of tutorials to empower Throughline's internal team to manage their site content independently.
The Result
ThroughLine now has a website that genuinely reflects who they are and the scale of what they do. The new site communicates their value proposition immediately — custom animations and scroll-based storytelling do the heavy lifting to convey their global reach, without losing the considered, human quality their work demands. Behind the scenes, a relational CMS and accompanying tutorial suite mean ThroughLine's team can manage and update content independently, keeping the site easy to maintain as the company continues to grow.
